«Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve» is a biosphere reserve located on the ground under the administration of the Chernobyl exclusion zone and unconditional resettlement in the Vyshgorod district, Kiev region, Ukraine. The largest natural reserve of the Kyiv region by area, the total area of which is 226 964.7 hectares.

The reserve occupies the floodplain and the valley of the Pripyat River, and also includes its tributaries Uzh and Braginka. The modern Chernobyl Special Reserve previously contained 58 settlements, which were settled after the Chernobyl accident in 1986.

Plants are represented by boreal species typical for Polesia. Forests are represented by the domination of pine, in places pine and birch forests and areas of willow. In the flood plains of the marshes are represented by shrub alder types. Wetland vegetation is represented by cane, mannika, wasp. In the Chernobyl special reserve grows 490 species of higher vascular plants, among which 31 rare species and 19 species are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

The Chernobyl Reserve is the nesting and migration site of over 250 bird species. There are protected species of hare-white, Eurasian lynx, brown bear, river otter, badger, European mink, ermine, nightshade, nonpyrus, European wide-eyed, small cutoff. For example, the Chernobyl Special Reserve contains 70 mammal species (12 Red book), 11 amphibian species, 7 reptilian species, and over 200 bird species (37 Red book).
